SouthTech Preparatory Academy (STP), a tuition-free charter middle school, will host a Recruitment Open House for the 2019-20 school year on Wednesday, Jan. 23, beginning at 6 p.m., at 1325 Gateway Blvd., Boynton Beach.
“SouthTech Prep offers small class sizes for individualized learning,” said James “Jim” Kidd, SouthTech Schools superintendent. “We provide supportive teachers who are focused on students’ unique needs, progress and success, as they transition to high school and continue their journey toward career and college readiness.”
STP educates their students in the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) disciplines and through career academies. The school’s two-story, state-of-the-art facility is outfitted with smart boards, computer labs and a MakerSpace, a student centered learning space centered around the application of robotics, 3D printing and coding that allows students to tackle real-world problems. STP is accredited by AdvanceED.
Open House attendees will learn more about the programs STP offers potential students. School staff will be on hand to provide information on academic and student support services, clubs and organizations. Admissions assistance will also be available to attendees.
