39% of families in Palm Beach County spend more than a third of their income on housing – making the dream of homeownership a difficult one. Housing instability – frequent moves, the threat of foreclosure, and unsafe conditions – creates hopelessness for far too many families. Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County partners with families in need to build affordable homes, together . We envision a world where everyone has a decent place to live.Habitat Partner Families are required to invest a minimum of 400 sweat equity hours of their own labor before being eligible to purchase their home, utilizing a 30-year, no profit, no-interest loan. With your support, Habitat Homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families.
We are primarily a volunteer organization, covering a geographical area from Hypoluxo Road to the Martin County Line; building homes in Belle Glade, Lake Worth, Greenacres, Jupiter, Pahokee, Riviera Beach, Westgate, and West Palm Beach.
