Clinics Can Help’s 9th Annual Golf Classic Returns to Banyan Cay Resort

This October, Clinics Can Help (CCH) returns to Banyan Cay Resort & Golf Club at 2300 Presidential Way, West Palm Beach, 33401, for its 9th Annual Golf Classic. With new and exciting components being added each year, the October 20th event is sure to be the best yet!
CBS News 12 News Anchor Matt Lincoln will again chair the event with PGA Tour Champion Dana Quigley serving as Honorary Chair. Lincoln first got involved with CCH after covering a story about Quigley, whose young son Devon benefitted from the services of Clinics Can Help after an accident that left him disabled. He was so moved by the simple concept of recycling medical equipment that was changing lives right here in our community and has been involved since.
Lincoln says, “Devon’s accident showed how access to medical equipment creates independence and saves lives. So many people right here in our community don’t have this access, and struggle to thrive in life because of it. I’m honored to serve as Chair once again, to work to support a charity helping a growing number of children and adults in need, and extra excited for golfers to see what’s in store this year.”
In addition to the 18 holes of golf, the tournament will feature contests for both men and women including longest drive, closest to the pin, putting, and a hole-in-one challenge sponsored by AutoNation. And, as the tournament grows, so does the committee. This year, Clinics Can Help is proud to welcome four new members: Rebecca Weiss, Tracy Nash, Kym Cavallo and Nancy Boulter, who join longtime committee members, Pam Swensen, Gil Martinez, Angie Niehoff, Myk Nelson, Jon Levy, Despina Hall, Vic Carlucci and Sally Chester.
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the KINDER Project at CCH, a program designed to support families in need of access to specialized medical equipment that enables their children to have added mobility and independence allowing them to thrive. Tickets ($300 each and $1200 foursome) include greens fees, cart, lunch, contests, prizes, silent auction, post-awards reception, a gift bag with a golf umbrella, shirt and more.
Clinics Can Help’s CEO Owen O’Neill, who serves on the frontlines, regularly hears about young kids’ daily struggles with injuries like Devon’s or other illnesses. “The opportunity to make such a difference in people’s lives while enjoying golf at a beautiful venue like Banyan Cay is truly a pleasure,” he shared. “On behalf of our entire team, and the countless children and adults who benefit from Clinics Can Help services, we thank our past, present, and future supporters. Our 9th Annual Golf Tournament is going to be our best yet and we are very excited!
