Barky Pines Animal Rescue and Sanctuary Inaugural Dog Days of Summer 5K Run/Walk

Barky Pines Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is excited to announce its Inaugural Dog Days of Summer 5K Run/Walk event to take place Saturday, August 28 at Royal Palm Beach’s Commons Park beginning at 4 p.m. The chip-timed race will begin at 7:00 p.m. Pets are welcome, plus there will be FREE pet microchipping for the first 200 pets included with registration courtesy of Fi and Village Royale Animal Hospital! The cost to participate in the 5K will be $35 if registered before August 1. On August 1, the cost will increase to $45 per person. There will also be virtual and group registration options. Day-of registration will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Commons Park. Packet pick-up locations will be posted on the website closer to race time for those registered in advance. We ask all participants to follow current CDC guidance at that time, to include but not be limited to, social distancing and frequent hand sanitizing. There will be hand sanitizer located throughout the event.
Guests can also look forward to pet adoptions, a variety of exhibitors, Kid Zone, DJ Rizz and more! In conjunction with the event, Barky Pines will be conducting a supply drive. For each supply donated, guests will be entered to win raffle prizes. Supplies needed by Barky Pines include small breed dog food, pee pads, cleaning supplies, large dog bowls, small dog beds, small dog harnesses and leashes and farm animal feed.
