Uh Oh......Trouble with Material Girl!

A lawsuit has been filed by LA Triumph claiming Madonna and her Material Girl clothing line have no right to use their trademark.

According to LA Triumph's lawyer:

"Our client and its predecessor have been continually selling similar clothes in similar

retail outlets at similar price points under their Material Girl brand since at least 1997 and

Madonna and her newfound company do not have the right to trade in the same space

under this brand. As a result of their acts, our client faces a risk of being subsumed by

Madonna's profile, obvious worldwide notoriety and the massive spending campaign by

Madonna, her company and retailers on her behalf."

The lawsuit also says Madonna's line "has confused and is likely to confuse the public and cause deception and mistake among the consuming public".

Ha! We don't think that's going to be a problem.

LA Triumph is asking for all the profits Material Girl has made and for the line's name to be changed.

Don't see that happening.....

A website called ShopItToMe.com just ran an analysis of the major online stores.  The idea was to figure out which days they're most likely to give discounts on different items.  Here's what they found . . .

--MONDAY - Best day for buying men's and women's dress pants, and sunglasses.

--TUESDAY - Best day for buying men's clothes.

 

--WEDNESDAY -  Best day to buy shoes.  Also to buy kids' clothing.

 

--THURSDAY -  Best day to buy purses.  

 

--FRIDAY -  Best day to buy accessories like jewelry, belts, and scarves.

 

--SATURDAY -  Best day to buy INTIMATE apparel . . . and also jackets.

 

--SUNDAY -  Best day to buy bathing suits.

Lady Google Smooch is reportedly moving into a $5 million rented mansion in a section of LA.  Daily Mail says she is renting the abode for $25,000 per month, rather than buying it outright. The multi-bedroom property includes a swimming pool overlooking the West Side of the city.
