WOOOOO HOOOOO JENNY!!!!!
After months of speculation, JENNY MCCARTHY has confirmed that she's joining "The View". Her first day is on September 9th, when the show launches its 17th season.
In a blog post, Jenny said, quote, "Yup, I'm doing 'The View'! . . . I might be moving from late night to daytime, but I'm just as fun with a mimosa as I am with a martini. I look forward to spiking your morning coffee on 'The View' for years to come."
Jenny was hosting a late-night show on VH1 . . . but it sounds like the network let her out of her contract so she could take this gig. The ratings for that show weren't great anyway.
BARBARA WALTERS released a statement saying, quote, "Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor. She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view."
Of course that WASN'T baby North on KRIS yesterday....
Before her surely DEEP new talk show debuted in Los Angeles and New York, she posted a picture of herself holding a baby on Facebook.
It included the caption, quote, "Will you be watching today's first episode!? We have a special guest. You never know who will stop by our show today!"
It wasn't North...it was some other kid. It actually belonged to one of her makeup artists.
What we are finding out about Cory
E! News says that "numerous amounts of alcohol" were found in the Vancouver hotel room where CORY MONTEITH died over the weekend. There were also other "substances", but there's no word yet what they were.
Meanwhile, on the night before Cory's body was found, he visited at least two Vancouver clubs . . . the Roxy and the Queen's Republic.
Authorities are trying to speed up toxicology tests so Cory's cause of death can be announced in the next few days.
Meanwhile, TMZ posted some of the last photos of Cory ever taken. He was at a Vancouver coffee house called The Shop with some friends. Sources say he had a few beers but never seemed drunk or out of control.
This was on July 6th, a week before Cory's death.
Looks like Stevie Wonder won't be touring in Florida anytime soon.
During a show Sunday night in Canada, STEVIE WONDER announced that he's boycotting Florida . . . or any other state with a Stand Your Ground law.
He said, quote, "I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again. As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.
"Because what I do know is that people know that my heart is of love for everyone. When I say everyone I mean everyone . . . You can't just talk about it, you have to be about it.
"We can make change by coming together for the spirit of unity. Not in destruction, but in the perpetuation of life itself."
