Oh Tre! What have you done?!?!
TERESA and JOE GUIDICE from "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" have been indicted on 39 charges including tax evasion and bank fraud and they could be looking at more than 50 YEARS IN PRISON. They're due in court this morning.
The Feds say Teresa and Joe conspired to illegally obtain mortgages and other loans from multiple banks by intentionally overstating their incomes.
They apparently also fudged their net worth after filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2009. And Joe is accused of failing to file income tax returns from 2004 to 2008.
Teresa issued a statement saying, quote, "Today is a most difficult day for our family. I support Joe and, as a wonderful husband and father, I know he wants only the best for our lovely daughters and me.
"I am committed to my family and intend to maintain our lives in the best way possible, which includes continuing my career. As a result, I am hopeful that we will resolve this matter with the Government as quickly as possible."
Meanwhile, her attorney says, quote, "Teresa will plead 'not guilty'. The judicial process that begins today with an indictment is a search for the truth. As it moves forward, we look forward to vindicating her."
Is this such a good idea Lindsay?
It’s going to be a busy August for Lindsay Lohan once she gets out of her court order 90-day rehab stint on July 31.
The actress has the Paul Schrader-directed indie drama The Canyons, in which she stars, coming out August 2 and an OWN interview with Oprah Winfrey set to tape and air later in the month; later, she is partnering with OWN on a docu-series that centers on her.
Now E! Entertainment announced today that Lohan will take over as guest host for Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately on August 5. No word on who will be joining Lohan on the late -comedy talk show’s roundtable or who she’ll be interviewing, but E! claims it will be an “all-star event.”
Earlier this year, before rehab, Lohan guest starred on Charlie Sheen’s FX series Anger Management.
Really Eddie? Are you THAT hard up?
Even though the "Beverly Hills Cop" TV series died, it somehow resurrected interest in a new"Beverly Hills Cop" movie. And EDDIE MURPHY is on board.
As you may recall, CBS ordered a pilot for the TV series, with Eddie's character Axel Foley only having a SUPPORTING role. The main character was his son Aaron Foley, played by BRANDON T. JACKSON.
The pilot was filmed and CBS PASSED on it. They tried to shop it to other networks with no luck. It's not clear how this convinced anyone there was value to a new movie.
Is Hoda Kotb heading to The View?!
The "New York Post" claims "The View" is, quote, "very interested" in bringing Hoda over to replace ELISABETH HASSELBECK, who just left the show earlier this month.
An "insider" says, quote, "Hoda addresses several of their needs. She has news experience, which is something'The View' has not had since MEREDITH VIEIRA left."
A "source close to Hoda" says, quote, "Hoda loves her job at 'Today', and she's very happy laughing and scratching with Kathie Lee every day."
And a rep for ABC says, quote, "There's absolutely zero truth to this whatsoever."
